Infiniti designs and makes contemporary chairs, stools, tables and sofas in the Treviso countryside, 100% made in Italy for workplaces, hospitality, education and home.
Infiniti was born in 2008 inside OMP Group, a family-owned industrial group in Castello di Godego, in the Treviso countryside of Italy's north-east, that has designed and manufactured metal components for the contract sector since 1983. Having spent a quarter of a century supplying the frames and parts behind other people's chairs, the group created a brand of its own, dedicated to contemporary chairs and tables produced entirely in Italy. Its first product set the tone: Loop 3D Wood by Danish designer Claus Breinholt, which the company describes as the first monobloc shell in curved wood, and still one of its most recognisable pieces.
The brand started out designing for the home, then carried that sensibility into offices, hotels, restaurants, schools and public spaces such as airports and stations, backed by the production strength of its parent group. Its first appearance at Milan's Salone del Mobile came in 2009, its first contract catalogue followed in 2015, and today the collection spans chairs, stools, benches, tables, armchairs and modular sofas for indoor and outdoor use. Infiniti reports supplying more than 90 countries, with around 85 per cent of its business in export.
Infiniti's belief is that good design should be shared, not only at home but in the urban, public and professional places where communities gather. It works with Italian and international designers, from Claus Breinholt and Marc Sadler to Luca Nichetto, and it also looks for new talent through design contests built around a shared brief. One contest winner, the Ruelle chair by Philippe Tabet, became a bestseller. The Green Factor Design Contest, run with architect Stefano Boeri, Interni editor Gilda Bojardi and H-Farm, put sustainability at the heart of the brief.
That approach has earned steady recognition: Good Design Awards for the Drop chair, Mat table, Next chair and Bi armchair, German Design Awards for pieces including Bi, Ruelle, Tondina Pop and Canova, and an ADI Design Index honourable mention in 2020 for Canova PCR, made from post-consumer plastic. What sets Infiniti apart is how much happens under one roof. Metal, plastic and bent wood are all worked in the group's own plants a few kilometres apart, which gives the brand real control over quality, colour and customisation for large projects. In 2024 it refreshed its identity around a simple invitation: sit around your world.

(02) How it’s made
Made in the Treviso countryside
Every Infiniti piece is produced in Italy, in three OMP Group plants at Castello di Godego, Riese and Ramon in the province of Treviso, all within about 6 km of the head office. Metal, plastic and wood are processed in-house, and 3D curved wood is one of the brand's specialities, alongside steel frames and injection-moulded polypropylene. The group reports around 150 employees and 22,000 square metres of production space.
The company is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, uses FSC-certified wood, and tests products with bodies including CATAS, Cosmob and ANSI/BIFMA. Photovoltaic panels on its plants save up to 425 tonnes of CO2 a year, and chairs such as Canova PCR and Linnéa are offered with recycled plastic content.
In their words
“I was impressed with the level of industrialization at infiniti”
— Luca Nichetto, designer of the Linnéa chair
(03) Design
Designers from around the world
Infiniti works with a roster of more than twenty Italian and international designers and studios. Copenhagen-based Claus Breinholt, who trained at the Danmarks Designskole, drew Loop 3D Wood, Pure Loop and Canova. Favaretto&Partners, founded in Padua in 1973 by Paolo Favaretto, brings deep experience in office and community seating and the principles of Design for All, while Fiorenzo Dorigo of Dorigo Design has designed for the furniture industry since 1975 from his studio in Conegliano.
Newer voices include Luca Nichetto, whose Linnéa chair returns the plastic monobloc to its essentials, and young designers found through the brand's own contests. Designers are asked to build respect for the environment into every brief.
