(01) Overview

Designed for movement

Capisco invites you to sit forwards, backwards or sideways. The saddle seat opens the hip angle, the cross-shaped backrest doubles as an armrest when you turn, and HÅG inBalance® tilt keeps the seat following your body as you shift position.

Fully upholstered comfort

The 8106 is upholstered on both seat and back in fabrics from the HÅG collection, with eight shell colours and five footbase finishes to suit any interior. An optional 265 mm lift takes it to counter height for sit-stand desks.

Where it works

Open-plan workstations, sit-stand desks, reception and front-of-house counters, studios, laboratories and collaborative benches, anywhere people change posture through the day.

Key features

  • Classic saddle seat with cross-shaped backrest
  • HÅG inBalance® flowing tilt with adjustable, lockable tension
  • Adjustable seat height, seat depth and back height
  • Fully upholstered seat and back
  • Standard 200 mm lift or optional 265 mm lift for high desks
  • GREENGUARD Gold and BIFMA certified

Peter Opsvik

“The next sitting position is always the best.”

Norwegian designer Peter Opsvik (1939–2024) worked with HÅG from 1974 and was one of the pioneers of dynamic sitting. His work challenged the idea of one correct posture, designing chairs that encourage movement and constant variation. His portfolio includes the Tripp Trapp, Variable and the HÅG Capisco, created in 1984 and still an icon of ergonomic design.
