(01) Overview
The shell is one pressing
The seat, the wrap-around back and the armrest are a single piece of three-dimensionally moulded plywood with a wood veneer face. Pressing it in one operation is what keeps the loop open between the seat and the backrest — the detail the whole chair is drawn around — with no joint to see.
Five bases, one shell
Four steel legs (stackable), a steel sled, a four-star aluminium base on glides, a four-star base on castors, and a five-star gas-lift height adjustable base on castors. All five take polypropylene feet and the same shell, so a project can run one chair through a café, a meeting room and a desk.
Made in Italy
Infiniti is the contract brand of Omp srl at Castello di Godego near Treviso. Shells are pressed and frames welded and powder coated in-house, and the chairs are made to order rather than held in stock.
