The brief
Furniture that takes a timetable
A classroom chair is sat in, dragged, stacked and knocked into a table leg forty times a day, every day of term.
Education furniture fails on frequency, not on load. Stacking height, nesting depth, castor quality and whether a damaged shell can be replaced without replacing the frame matter more than the specification sheet suggests.
We specify across learning spaces, libraries, lecture rooms and staff areas, so a campus can reconfigure a room between classes without calling a contractor.

What shapes the schedule
Four things that decide an education order
Where education specification differs, and where campuses most often get caught.
Frequency, not load
Commercial duty ratings assume office use. Education is higher frequency and rougher, so frame construction and joint design matter more than the stated weight limit.
Reconfiguration
Stacking height, nesting depth, castor quality and trolley availability. If staff cannot move it themselves, the room does not get reconfigured.
Acoustics
Hard floors and high ceilings make learning spaces loud. Absorption on walls and ceilings does more than furniture choice alone.
Procurement and terms
Campus and departmental procurement runs to its own calendar. Lead times need to land inside the term break, not across it.
