Six modules, one language

The plain Arkad sits at 450 mm as a pouf. The Arkad B adds a back at 630 mm. Both come as a 550 mm square, an 1100 mm long module and a 770 mm curved corner, so a run can turn a corner or wrap a column.

The arches are structural to the look

The arch motif runs along the base of every module and around the back of the B versions, which is what makes a group of them read as one piece of architecture rather than a set of poufs.

Made in the Manzano chair district

Zilio A&C works from San Giovanni al Natisone in Friuli, in the chair district around Manzano where Italy has built seating since the nineteenth century. The company has been there since 1951 and is now run by the third generation, with solid timber machined, assembled and finished in its own workshops.
