The void is the design

Three concave sections meeting along their edges make a stable column that is mostly empty. Extrusion is what makes it affordable to leave that much material out, and the raw section is left legible rather than disguised.

Made at Mornico al Serio

Pedrali has made furniture in Bergamo since 1963 and now runs two Italian plants — Mornico al Serio for metal and upholstery and Manzano, in the Friuli chair district, for solid wood. Moulding, welding, powder coating, upholstery and assembly are all done in-house, which is why the range can be specified finish by finish rather than shipped from stock.
