Designed around the sit, not the look
The brief for the Coast was simple. Most task chairs announce themselves, with exposed mechanisms and levers on show. This one hides the engineering and keeps a soft, upholstered profile that sits comfortably in a fitout where the furniture is not meant to be the loudest thing in the room.
An Italian mechanism under a plain shell
The synchronised tilt is a Donati unit, so the recline is smooth and the tension can be matched to the user rather than fought. The back is high enough to support the shoulders, the seat slides for depth, and the lumbar support adjusts for height.
Two colourways
Black on a black frame for workplaces that want the chair to disappear, and grey on a white frame for lighter, softer interiors.
Tested
BIFMA tested and rated to 110 kg, with a three year warranty.
